As I read I kept in mind Christ kept all the law without fail. Also the law was not written to us as gentiles and Christ fulfilled this Mosaic law that separated both Jews and Gentiles from God. However, I am investigating a theory: Since Christ poured over the Old Testament and knew it well, it would benefit us in our walking like Christ walked to pour over it as well. I have found several areas in the Old Testament referenced in the new offer light and understanding to God's Word and heart. So today I read Exodus 24:1-8 where Moses came and told all the people what God told them, the blessings and cursings. The people responded with obedience, "All the words which the Lord hath said will we do." Moses wrote down what God told him, set up the covenant ceremony, and re-read the Words of God. The people all agreed saying, "All that the Lord hath said will we do and be obedient." This account of establishing a covenant reminds me of other mentions of covenants in the Bible. 1. Isaiah- Israel is the Bride, God took it cleaned it and sanctified it as a bridegroom his bride. 2. Romans 10:9- when you "confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus.." You are saying what the Children of Israel said, "All the words which the Lord hath said will we do." "All that the Lord hath said will we do and be obedient."
We enter in the new covenant with God through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Yay God!
